J.R. WRITER GETS SHOT IN THE BRONX

New York rapper J.R. Writer was shot last night (October 11) in the Bronx, according to reports.

While details are still sketchy, sources stated that the Dipset affiliate was shot in the leg, although this has not been confirmed.

The rapper did confirmed he was at least injured during the shooting via his Twitter page.

“Thank the Lord I'm alive, they tried to kill ya boy.”

Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and J.R. Writer had performed together as recently as last week, at 50 Cent's Thisis50 Festival in New York.

"That's crazy, I didn't hear about it. Damn, I don't know. It's dirty out there in the streets," Juelz Santana told AllHipHop.com about the shooting.

Forest Whitaker who is the voice of Ira in the upcoming movie Where the Wild Things Are was at the NY Premiere a few days ago wearing an interesting Nike Dunk High. While we do not want to start any rumors but with the colors and materials used, these could potentially be a Where the Wild Things Are collaboration Dunk. Lets just note one more time, we are just assuming that they are. They also have a close resemblance to the co.jp Curry Nike Dunk Low from several years back but these are a Dunk High and have what seems to be a scale like material on the heel. Despite all the free promotion that 50 Cent has given Fat Joe, for his new album, J.O.S.E. 2- Joe still couldn't manage to move more than 9,000 copies in his first week. Fat Joe sold very disappointing numbers according to Nielsen's Soundscan. He moved exactly 8,343 copies.J.O.S.E. 2 was Fat Joe's 9th Studio album and was promoted very poorly. Even Fat Joe himself admitted that many consumers didn't even realize he had an album coming out until 50 Cent started announcing it. In fact, Fat Joe even thanked 50 Cent for the free promotion, calling 50 Cent "his biggest fan." Well apparently even Fat Joe's "Biggest fan" couldn't save Fat Joe's flop of a new album.
